What is the 2025 Downhill Rockies Schedule?
Let’s start with the big question. What’s the lineup looking like this year?
There have been some big changes in the Downhill Rockies race calendar compared to 2024 and you may or may not like it. Here it is:

- 7/13 Crested Butte, CO
- 7/20 Durango, CO
- 8/17 Keystone, CO
- 9/7 Angel Fire, NM
What Changed From DH Rockies 2024?
First thing that popped out to me is that there are only 4 races. Definitely a bummer to see Trestle and Pajarito gone from the lineup but hopefully Trail Party can work something out to add an extra venue or two.
The 2025 Downhill Rockies calendar opens up with Crested Butte instead of Angel Fire like last year so we’ll get some good brisk weather and lots of friendly rocks looking to make nice with your bike right off the bat.
Purgatory in round 2 should be exciting. Instead of closing the Downhill Rockies series there, we’ll get it in the first month of racing. I don’t know about you but I love the idea of sending my freshly unfrozen body down arguably the gnarliest track of the series. Incidentally, I got better health and life insurance this year.
Trail Party decided to put my local as the 3rd race with Keystone mid-August then the series ends at Angel Fire early September.
2025 Series Predictions
We already know Shawnee McGovern will hold it down and probably walk out with overall points in 40+ Men Cat 1.
In the Men Pro cat, we’ll see if Kenneth Gustafson can keep his place at the top. If we see guys like Aiden Rowell jump up to Pro full time, the leader boards could definitely be in for a shift. Rowell is looking fast as hell and the man makes it look easy. Should be interesting.
